Service Conditions

1. Overview

These conditions set out the basis on which LumenFest supplies outdoor lighting hire within Brighton and nearby areas. By placing an order, you agree that these terms apply to the booking.

3. Bookings and payment

Quotes describe the package, dates and collection/return arrangements. A booking is formed when we confirm availability in writing. Payment timing appears on the quote or invoice. Prices include VAT where applicable.

4. Delivery and collection

We agree a window for delivery and collection. If no one is available, we may rearrange at the next feasible time. Risk in the equipment passes to you during the hire period.

5. Care and use

Use kits in accordance with the notes supplied. Keep joins raised from standing water, avoid sharp bends and protect cables from foot traffic. Do not modify plugs or bulbs. If weather conditions are unsuitable, switch off and secure items until conditions settle.

6. Venue rules and permissions

You are responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions from the venue or property owner and for following venue policies on fixtures or routing.

7. Loss, damage and faults

Please notify us promptly of any fault or incident. We will outline practical steps to make the area safe and arrange repair or replacement as appropriate. Reasonable charges may apply for loss or damage beyond ordinary wear.

8. Cancellations and changes

If your plans change, tell us as early as possible so we can suggest alternatives. Any cancellation terms will be included with your quote or confirmation. Where we must change or postpone a booking due to events outside our control, we will discuss suitable options.

9. Liability

We provide guidance and equipment for temporary decorative lighting. Nothing in these conditions limits rights that cannot be limited by law. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable.

11. Governing law

These conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
